Native to (or naturalized in) Oregon:
- Broadleaf evergreen shrub, 5 ft (1.5 m), forms a dense, round mound. Leaves glossy, 10 cm long, jade green, retained 3 years, elepidote (without scales). Flowers rose-pink with a reddish blotch, in conical clusters.
