  • Conifer, evergreen shrub/tree, semi-dwarf, dense, grows slowly (less than 6 inches (15 cm)/per year), to 8-10 ft high with a spread of 3-5 ft (2.4-3 × 0.9-1.5 m).  Needles in winter are light green but in the spring develop bright yellow to white bands alternating with green areas (i.e., variegated).  The color contrast holds through the fall.
  • Sun; well-drained, slightly acid soil. Drought resistant when established
