  • Broadleaf deciduous tree, upright-pyramidal habit, strong branch angles, compact, to 45 ft (~14 m) tall, 25 ft (~7.5 m) wide, fast growing when young.  Leaves deep green, deeply lobed, similar to Silver Maple in appearance, fall color golden-yellow to red.  Essentially seedless.
  • Sun, tolerates droughty soils
  • Hardy to USDA Zone 4      Discovered 1967 by James Zampini in a maple block at Indian Point Farm, Perry, Ohio (PP 7279, in 1990), introduced in 1987.
