  • Broadleaf deciduous tree, dwarf, often multi-trunked, short branches, slow growing, upright, 5 × 2 ft (1.5 × 0.6 m) in about 10 years.  Leaves simple, opposite, contorted and rugose (crinkly), dark green in summer; in fall yellow, red, and orange.
  • Partial shade.  Water regularly.
  • Hardy to USDA Zone 5
