  • Conifer, evergreen, dwarf, when young globe shaped, slow growing, 1-3 inches (2.5-7.5 cm) per year, so in 10 years is may only be 2 ft tall and 3 ft wide (60-90 cm); with time it develops a central leader and transitions into a small conical tree.  The short branches curve inwards, forming a neat, dense ball, and the needles curve upward and are slightly twisted revealing their silvery underside. 
  • Sun to partial shade, well-drained soil
  • Hardy to USDA Zone 4       This selection originated as witch's broom on a specimen of Abies koreana ‘Horstmann’s Silberlocke’ in the nursery of Jörg Kohout of Elstra, Germany.
