  • Conifer, evergreen, dwarf, small conical upright tree, needles normal size but bluer than the species.   Reportedly grows 2-6 inches (5-15 cm) per year.  May reach 10 ft × 3 ft (3 × 0.9 m) in 10 years.  There may be more than one form under this name.  An Abies magnifica 'Nana' at Arnold Arboretum in Massachusetts was 50 years old but only 1.5 m tall.
  • Sun.  Best in well-drained, acid, moist soil; has low drought tolerance.
  • Hardy to USDA Zone 5
