  • Deciduous tree, naturally weeping, to 12 ft (4 m) high, equal spread.  Leaves alternate, simple, to about 8.5 cm long by 4 cm wide, dark green; gold and orange in fall.  Flowers small, white, 5-petaled.  Fruit is red, finally black.
  • Hardy to USDA Zone 5      Introduced about 1985 by Lake County nursery of Perry, Ohio (Jacobson, 1996).  Also known as 'White Fountain' and 'Snowfountains'; it is sometimes listed as a cultivar of P. × yedoensis or P. subhirtella.  Sometimes grafted to a contorted trunk or to the glossy, red-mahogany trunk of Prunus serrula.
