  • Evergreen, dwarf form, very narrow, branches upright, slow growing, (2-3 cm per year), usually less than 30 inches (80 cm) tall, needles, awl-like, fine, 4-5 mm long, light green, white stomatal line above, dark green below; some say blue-green.
  • Hardy to USDA Zone 2     Origin unknown but cultivated before 1855.
