- Broadleaf, deciduous medium sized tree, it develops a vase shaped canopy as it reaches about 9 m in height with a spread of about 7.5 m (35 ft × 25 ft). It has a strong central leader and an upright and symmetrical form suitable as landscape or street tree. It has large, thick, deeply corrugated leaves that emerge bronze and turn glossy green. Originated from seeds that were collected in China and the resulting plants tested in the arid plains of western Oklahoma. Adapted to hot summer sun and the leaves retain their fresh, green appearance; turning to bright yellow in fall.
