  • Deciduous shrub, to 3 ft (0.9 m) tall and twice as wide, mounding form, moderate growth rate.  Leaves lemon yellow with russet tinge when young then lime-green; in fall orange-red with reddish stems.  Flowers are light pink, summer blooming.
  • Hardy to USDA Zone 3      Branch sport of S. japonica 'Goldflame' and introduced by Monrovia Nursery in 1985.   Monrovia lists it as hardy to USDA Hardiness Zone 3, a Zone lower than 'Goldflame' (Zone 4).
