  • Deciduous tree, broad globe-shaped, 18 by 25ft (5.5 × 7.6 m), open when young.  Leaves alternate, simple, purple-green in summer, fall color gold-bronze.  Flowers buds red opening to magenta-rose.   Fruit bright red, about 15 mm diameter.
  • Sun; good resistance to apple scap and excellent resistance to cedar apple rust and fireblight
  •  Hardy to USDA Zone 4
  • Oregon State Univ. campus: in the court yard behind Shepard Hall.
