- Deciduous tree, broad globe-shaped, 18 by 25ft (5.5 × 7.6 m), open when young. Leaves alternate, simple, purple-green in summer, fall color gold-bronze. Flowers buds red opening to magenta-rose. Fruit bright red, about 15 mm diameter.
