  • Deciduous tree, to 20 ft (6 m) tall, slightly greater spread, more or less symmetrical.  Leaves alternate, simple, glossy green.  Flowers buds red and opening to single, white flowers, about 30 mm wide, with contrasting yellow anthers.  Fruit orange-red, about 12 mm wide, persistent.
  • Sun.  Low maintenance.  Slight to moderate susceptiblity to scab and high to moderate susceptibility to fireblight.
  • Hardy to USDA Zone 3.
  • Oregon State Univ. campus: east side of Ag. & Life Sciences.
