  • Deciduous shrub, fast growing to 5 ft (1.5 m) high, similar width, multi-stemmed, rounded; stems have sharp thorns.  Leaves deep green in summer to red and reddish purple in fall.  Small yellow flowers followed by red fruit which may persist after leaf drop.
  • Sun to light shade.  Adaptable to most soil conditions.
  • Hardy to USDA Zone 4     A cross between B. thunbergii and B. koreana.  An introduction of Bailey Nurseries.
