  • Broadleaf evergreen ground cover, to about 1 ft high with a 6 ft spread (0.3 × 1.8 m), vigorous dense growth, thick stems.  Leaves relatively large, thick and glossy.  Flowers pale pink.  Fruit red, large and showy.
  • Sun or partial shade, well-drained soil.
  • Hardy to USDA Zone 8??, maybe lower?  Native to San Bruno Mountain in San Mateo County, California.
