  • Broadleaf evergreen shrub/tree, 10-12 ft (3-3.5 m).  Leaves to 10 cm long, serrated and pointed, initially bronze, turning deep green.  Flowers pink, 2 cm across, some double.
  • Sun, somewhat drought tolerant, good resistance to leaf spot
  • Hardy to USDA Zone (7) 8,  barely cold hardy here (killed at -3°F), needs protection.  Some think it is a hybrid between a Rhaphiolepis and an Eriobotrya (loquot), others list it as R ×delacourii, a cross of R. umbellata × R. indica.
