  • Evergreen shrub, to 3ft (0.9 m), equal width, stems wine red.  Leaves densely 4 ranked (decussate, alternate pairs at right angles), 10-20 mm long, dark green.  Flowers purple and white, 10 mm wide, in terminal clusters.
  • Sun or part shade.  Can be used as a low hedge or container plant.  Grows best in a seaside environment.
  • Hardy to USDA Zone 8
