  • Evergreen shrub, compact, neat, growing to 30 inches (80 cm) high.  Leaves dark green, shiny, lanceolate, about 5 cm long.  Flowers pink-purple, appear in summer.
  • Sun or part shade
  • Hardy to USDA Zone 8    Raised in 1982 at the Auckland Regional Botanic Garden by Jack Hobbs, as part of a program to breed hebes suitable for the Auckland, New Zealand climate.  The parents are Hebe 'Carnea' and Hebe speciosa (Hebe Society web site, 2005).
