  • Evergreen shrub, erect, much-branched, to 2 ft (60cm) high.  Leaves very small, 4-5 mm long and 2 mm wide, yellow-green, tough.  Flowers small, 8 mm diameter, white in short terminal spikes 1-2 cm long, blooms June-July; reportedly one of the few "whipcord" Hebes to flower freely.

  •   Hardy to USDA Zone 8    Natural hybrid found in 1985 on Hinerua Ridge in Ruahine Range New Zealand, at ~1400 m by Graham Hutchins (of County Park Nursery, Essex).  Probably a hybrid of H. odora and H. hectori subsp. subsimilis, both in the area where it was discovered.
