- Broadleaf evergreen shrub, small, slow growing to about 2 ft (0.6 m) high and with a similar width, upright, dense, rounded form. Leaves simple, alternate, glossy, oblanceolate, about 5 cm long. Flowers deep pink, very fragrant, spring flowering, sporadic bloom all summer.
- Sun to partial shade. Needs good drainage.
- Hardy to USDA Zone (5)6 Apparently a spontaneous hybrid of D. arbuscula × D. collina from the garden of Lawrence Crocker, a legendary plantsman and one of the founders of the Siskiyou Rare Plant Nursery in Medford, Oregon. Daphne × susannae is the name given to the D. arbuscula × D. collina cross, hence D. × susannae 'Lawrence Crocker'. The authenticity of D. ×medfordensis 'Lawrence Crocker' is unknown.
