  • Deciduous shrub, forms a 4 ft (1.2 m) high mound, equal width, loose mat.  Leaves alternate, simple, about 2.5-4.5 cm long and narrow (8-12 mm wide), oblanceolate-lanceolate, pale green or bluish-green above.  Flowers white, 4-20 per cluster, fragrant.  Fruit fleshy, are red or black.
  • Part shade, with good drainage.
  • Hardy to USDA Zone (4)5      One of the parents of D. × burkwoodii.
