- Green leaves with each one having an irregular blotch of butter-yellow in its center, has typical white bracts and red fruit. May revert back to green shoots.
- Apparently does not scorch in full sun, at least in the Northeast and Midwest (Jacobson, 1996).
- Hardy to USDA Zone (4)5 Introduced about 1977 in Japan and in commerce in the U.S. in 1983.
