  • Broadleaf deciduous multistemmed shrub, 6-8 × 6 ft (1.8-2.4 × 1.8 m), upright-arching to rounded habit.  Leaves alternate, simple.  Light pink flowers in drooping clusters.  Fruit blue-black with whitish bloom.
  • Sun, for best flower production, but does well in part shade.  Drought tolerant when established.
  • Hardy to USDA Zone 6     Reportedly this plant was a chance discovery in the Columbia Gorge.
