  • Broadleaf deciduous, shrubby, rounded.  Similar to the species type, but leaflets somewhat narrower with an oblong-lanceolate shape.
  • Sun to shade.  Very adaptable, but best in well-drained soil.
  • Hardy to USDA Zone 3       Native from western Texas, west to California, and northern Mexico, including southern Utah.
