  • Sun or partial shade.
  • Hardy to USDA Zone 5         Found in 1938 by T. J. Starker (Oregon State College) 16 miles northwest of Portland, Oregon [J. of Forestry 37:415-417(1939)].  In cultivation since about 1942.
