  • Broadleaf deciduous large shrub or small tree to 10 ft (3 m) if left unpruned, upright, dense shrub, slightly spreading.  Leaves pinnately compound, usually 5 leaflets, very dark purple-red, veins and stems are purple.  Flowers have an intense pink color.
