  • Evergreen tree, compact columnar form, 15 ft tall and 8 ft wide in 10 years (4.5 × 2.4 m), may reach 25 ft (7.6 m), mahogany stems.  Leaves intensely steel-blue.
  • Sun, dry, well-drained soil
  • Hardy to USDA Zone 5      Discovered as a chance seedling in New Zealand in 1960 and introduced in about 1984 by Duncan & Davies Nursery, New Plymouth, New Zealand (Jacobson, 1996).
