Five or six species of evergreen or deciduous trees with large  compound (pinnate) leaves and clusters of fragrant white to cream flowers.   Native to tropical Asia and northern Australia.

Toona: the name Toona is an (east) Indian vernacular, first used as a scientific name in 1803 (Jacobson, 1996).
