Bully Trees

A genus of some 70 species of deciduous or evergreen shrubs and trees, collectively known as bully trees.   The plants often have gummy or milky sap and extremely hard wood.  They are typically found in warm temperate and tropical regions, especially in North, Central and South America, however some are native to Africa and Indian Ocean islands.
Sideroxylon: Greek sideros, iron, and xylon, wood; alluding to durability.
