- Conifer, evergreen shrub, 2+ ft (0.6 m) high, 5+ ft (1.5 m) wide [very old specimens have reached a height over 6 ft (2 m)], overlapping drooping branches, weeping form with contorted branches. Actually there is variation in the habit and the name represents a group rather than a single type. Some of the forms comprise the popular Sargents Weeping Hemlock (T. canadensis 'Sargentii') (Jacobson, 1996).
