  • Semi-evergreen or deciduous shrub, shoot to 3 m long, somewhat climbing, nearly thornless (stems woolly, with minute prickles.  Leaves alternate, compound, palmate, with 5-leaflets, each leaflet oblong-lanceolate to oblong, middle leaflet longest, 10-15 cm, 30-50 parallel vein pairs per leaflet, dentate, deep green above and "glossy silvery silky" below.  Small, white flowers in short, axillary clusters.  Fruit small, red or yellow.
