  • Taxonomy: The Latin name for this plant in the nursery trade has been Rubus calycinoides (or Rubus pentalobus) and later Rubus hayata-koidzumii.  However, the botanically accepted name is now Rubus folei.  It will likely take some time before the latter name is used in commerce.
