  • Conifer, evergreen, miniature, compact, oval form, slow growing (~ 2.5 cm/yr) and densely branched.   Needles dark green and sharp.
  • Sun
  • Hardy to USDA Zone 6   Discovered in 1926 by Eugen Schmidt in the mountains near Sarajevo, Bosnia as a 10 ft (3 m) tall, over 100 year-old tree (Krüssmann, 1985).
