- Deciduous shrub, upright, mounding, somewhat compact, 4-6 ft (1.2-1.8 m) high and wide. Leaves ovate to rounded, about 10 cm long, 3-5 lobed, deeply cut, wine-red to bronze-red during much of the growing season, but becomes green in areas with hot summers. Flowers small, pinkish white, in dense, rounded clusters, 2.5-5 cm wide, appearing in late spring.
