Native to (or naturalized in) Oregon:
- Deciduous conifer, may reach 20 ft (6 m), branches and stems twisted, contorted. Leaves twisted, bright green, yellow in fall.
- Sun, sufficient moisture and well-drained soil. Interesting form for the winter garden.
- Hardy to USDA Zone 4 Discovered in Germany in the early 1970s, raised and introduced by G. D. Boehlje.
