  • Broadleaf deciduous shrub, dwarf, upright branches, can be maintained at about 5 ft (1.5 m) tall and 4 ft (1.2 m) wide.  Flowers are plum-purple.
  • Full sun, moist well-drained soil.  Can be grown as a container plant.  In Corvallis it starts to bloom in late August or early September.
  • Hardy to USDA Zone (6)7     Part of Monrovia nursery's Petite series.
  • Oregon State Univ. campus: along Arnold Way, east of the Asian Center.
