  • Broadleaf evergreen shrub, 2 ft (0.6 m) tall [in Oregon a 25 year-old plant is 5 ft tall], very compact, dense, rounded, irregular horizontal branching. Leaves alternate, simple, small, rounded, very short internodes.  Female clone.
  • Sun to light shade.  Used in bonsai.
  • Hardy to USDA Zone (5) 6     Developed at the National Arboretum, Washington, D.C.
