  • Broadleaf deciduous tree, rapid growing, 30-40 ft (9-12 m) high at maturity, compact, rounded top.  New growth and branches are golden-yellow.  Leaves opposite, pinnately compound, 7-11 leaflets, each 4-10 cm long, ovate lanceolate, margin finely serrate, light green; fall color golden-yellow.   Seedless, no winged fruit formed.

  • Hardy to USDA Zone 5    US Plant Patent: PP02886, 1963, Spring Hill Nursery, Tipp City, Ohio.   Some say similar to 'Jaspidea' or Golden Dessert™.   Possibly no longer available.
  • Alert: An invasive, non-native, insect pest, the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is present in Oregon and in much of the easthern U.S. The larvee of this pest feed on the inner bark of ash trees native to North America and Eurpoe, disrupting nutrient and water transport, which often results in tree death.
