  • Conifer, evergreen tree, branches directed upward, compact, narrow, grows to about 20 ft (6 m) tall and 4 ft (1.2 m) wide.  Foliage golden yellow when grown in sun.
  • Sun.   Susceptible to coryneum canker when grown inland away from cool coastal winds (Sunset Western Garden Book, 2001).
  • Hardy to USDA Zone 8         Raised in Holland in the 1940s and introduced into the nursery trade about 1955.
