- Deciduous tree, similar to the species. About 20-25 ft (6-7.5 m) tall, with a somewhat greater spread, wide vase shape, angular branch pattern, few thorns. Flowers white, blooms in May. Reportedly fruits heavily, 9 mm, orange-red fruit persist into winter, if not consumed by birds.
