  • Evergreen vine, vigorous, 12-15 ft (3.5-4.5 m) tall.  Leaves glossy bronze-tinted, deeply cut.  Flowers creamy-white, speckled inside with reddish-maroon, fragrant; winter blooming, in western Oregon from November to February.
  • Sun, well-drained soil
  • Hardy to USDA Zone 7      Native to Balearic Islands and Corsica.
  • cirrhosa: having tendrels; the leaf stalks act as a tendrils.     balearica: of the Balearic Islands of the Mediterranean.
