Broadleaf, deciduous shrub or small tree, to 15 ft (5 m) tall with a similar spread. Stems irregularly spiny (prickles). Leaves alternate, bipinnately compound, leaflets ovate, green with creamy white or yellow margins. Flowers small, white, in large clusters in late summer.
