  • Evergreen shrub, 1-2 ft (30-–60 cm) tall, multistemmed.  Twigs angled.  Leaves oblong or obovate, 2–-5 × 1-3 cm, leathery, base wedge-shaped, margin plane, with glandular teeth, tip rounded, mucronulate.  Flowers pinkish, with red limbs, about 6 mm, in 6-flowered clusters.  Fruit dark blue, 5-–9 mm in diameter.
