  • Broadleaf evergreen shrub, 3 ft (0.9 m), compact, low.  Leaves 6-12 cm long, narrow (1.5-3 cm wide), slightly "wrinkled" (rugose), rolled margin, pointed tip, slight pubescence underneath, short petiole.  Reddish-orange flowers with dark anthers, red filaments, funnel-campanulate, 7.5 cm wide (larger in shade), reddish pedicels, 6-9 in loose truss.
  • 0°F, early-mid, quality rating 3-4/4/5 [flower / plant & foliage / performance; scale 1 (poor) - 5 (best)].  Part shade to sun reliable bloomer, susceptible to weevils.
