  • Conifer, evergreen tree, slow growing to about 35 ft (11 m) tall and 12 feet (2 m), pyramidal form.   Needles short, set close together, yellow on the upper side, interior foliage green; reportedly retain their yellow color in mild winter area of the Pacific Northwest.
  • Sun (for best color) to partial shade.  Tolerates gravelly soils.
  • This cultivar was introduced by Skylands Botanical Garden, Ringland, New Jersey.  It is sometimes sold as 'Aurea Compacta' (Jacobson, 1996).
  • Hardy to USDA Zone (4)
