  • Evergreen shrub, dwarf, globe-shaped, compact, to about 12 inches high (30 cm), upright green shoots.  Leaves tiny, glossy, densely arranged.  Flowers small, appear in summer.
  • Sun or part shade.  Royal Hort. Soc., Award of Garden Merit 1993.
  • Hardy to USDA Zone 8    Found in the Ruahine Mountains, New Zealand; possibly a hybrid between H. odora and H. subsimilis (Hiller, 1998).
