  • Deciduous shrub, 6-7 ft (1.8-2.1 m) high, compact, nodding branches.   Leaves alternate, simple.  Flowers perfect, white, about 4 cm wide, 5-petaled, about 20 stamen, flower bud is roundish.
  • Sun to light shade, best in moist, rich loams, good heat and drought tolerance when established

  • Hardy to USDA Zone 5       A hybrid of E. korolkowii × E. racemosa.
  • macrantha:  from macr, large, and antha, flowered, large-flowered
